On 28th June 2023, Internal Complaint Committee at Prestige Institute of Management and Research Gwalior has organized workshop on POSH awareness for MBA –II semester students. Internal Complaint Committee is very active committee at Prestige Institute of Management and Research Gwalior , which works on prevention , prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment for females at the institute level. Workshop was conducted by Captain Moushumi Mukherjee Rana, retired Indian Army Lady Officer and a Corporate Trainer. Purpose of keeping such workshop for MBA students is that as they should understand that organizations have strict prevention, prohibition and redressal mechanism towards Sexual Harassments and they should not do such things which affect their career in future as well as they remain aware that if something happens, they can reach Internal Complaint Committee of that organization for help. Many cases of sexual harassment arises in organization but as employees are not aware about the safety rules and they hide such acts. The purpose of this Policy is to provide a safe, secure and enabling environment, free from sexual harassment to every employee.
Over 300 students attended the workshop. Workshop was interactive and informative and students asked questions to Speaker for more knowledge regarding the topic.
At this occasion Director Dr. Nishant Joshi was present and addressed the audience. It is his vision that students should know all these topics as generally people do not discuss about it and it such workshops should be part of development of students so that they can lead in corporate without fear.
The Deputy Director Dr. Tarika Singh Sikarwar shared about the Internal complaint committee at Prestige Institute of Management Gwalior and PIMRG organize such workshops time to time to make students aware. Entire guidance and support to conduct this workshop was provided by her.
At this occasion Internal Complaint Committee members, faculty members and staff members of PIMR were present.
