About Me

Dr. Akshay Bhargava is a distinguished academic and an Assistant Professor of Law at the Department of Law, Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Gwalior, a position he has held since February 2025. His academic journey is marked by a strong focus on Corporate law, with a Ph.D. in Law from Amity University Madhya Pradesh (2023) , an LL.M. in Corporate and Commercial Law (2016-17), and a B.A.LL.B. (2011-16) .

 

Throughout his 6.5 years of career, Dr. Bhargava has made significant contributions to legal academia, including:

 

Publications: He has published numerous papers in various journals, including SCOPUS/Web of Science indexed journals like the Journal of Indian Business Research and the International Journal of Early Childhood Special Education. His work also appears in UGC journals and other peer-reviewed publications.

 

Awards and Recognition: Dr. Bhargava has received several "Best Paper Awards" for his presentations at international and national conferences. He was also the Runner up of the 3rd NCR Moot Court Competition while at Lloyd Law College.

 

Academic and Professional Activities: He is a reviewer for the Journal of Indian Business Research and has served as a judge for various moot court competitions. He has also organized numerous academic events, including an Intra Trial Arbitration Competition and a National Moot Court Competitions.

 

Teaching and Experience: Before joining Prestige Institute, he held positions as a Senior Lecturer and Assistant Professor at several other universities. He also has industry experience as a Junior Counsel under a Senior Advocate.
