Brief Profile
Dr. Joyanta Kumar Majhi is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR), Gwalior. His research interests span sustainable and green supply chains and the application of emerging technologies such as blockchain and AI/ML to strengthen supply chain performance.
Before joining PIMR, Dr. Majhi served as a Research Associate at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, specializing in Digital Supply Chain and Operations Research. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from Jadavpur University and an MSc in Mathematics (Operations Research) from the University of Calcutta (Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur).
Dr. Majhi has published in reputed SCI/SCIE and Scopus-indexed journals, including Annals of Operations Research and RAIRO–Operations Research, and has authored book chapters in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems series. He regularly presents his work at national and international conferences and has delivered invited lectures at ISI Kolkata.
He is a Fellow of the Operational Research Society of India (ORSI) and has contributed as a reviewer for the journal Cleaner Logistics and Supply Chain. Dr. Majhi teaches courses in Operations Research, Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, Calculus, and Applied Mathematics.
