Socially Responsible and Value System amongst Students

Prestige Institute of Management & Research Gwalior has its vision “To be an eminent institution of repute that fosters the relentless pursuit of excellence through socially responsible, trans-formative education, research and training.” According to which Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR), Gwalior, stands as a beacon of excellence in the realm of higher education, PIMRG has its distinctiveness in socially impactful practices and by creating the ethical and inclusive approach towards society and inculcating the same in their stakeholders. Institute has various clubs and committees committed to foster community engagements, sustainability, and holistic development of their stakeholders. The pillars at PIMRG which helps to achieve the ethical approach are:

Nearly 35 activities were conducted round the year regarding community needs as well as various initiatives were taken for improving the ethical environment and sustainable activities.

The Best Practices of the Institute for the academic year 22-23 are Skill development and Gender Inclusion.

At Prestige Institute of Management & Research Gwalior, the Management, Teaching and non-teaching staff and Students strive all-together to achieve the objective of comprehensive skill development. EMLs and Training sessions, Personality development workshops, Idea Hackathons and various Competitive being conducted regularly under the banner functional clubs. Industry visits, Internships and Advance excel workshops are also conducted. Also,enhance the learning experience, smart boards are used in classrooms and various innovative pedagogies are included in the learning process. As a result, students have developed public speaking as well as interpersonal skills. They are highly oriented for their career growth. They have also developed practical and critical thinking resulting in enhanced employability.

Best Practice 2: Gender Inclusion The Institute has implemented several practices to ensure equal opportunities and a supportive environment for all students, faculty and staff irrespective of gender so that diversity and inclusion is achieved. Equal Opportunity Cell and Internal Complaint Committee at PIMRG functions as a resource centre for addressing gender-related concerns and ensuring the effective implementation of gender equity policies. Sessions on Cancer Awareness, Self-defence and Menstrual health are some of the events under this best practice. The institute maintains a robust security infrastruc by having cameras at all public places. Evidence of success for gender equity can be observed through various indicators and outcomes that demonstrate a positive atmosphere in the institution.
